The goal is to continue adding value to the millions of women in the United States. Annually, about two million women in the country enter their menopausal year and experience its symptoms in varying degrees.
But as this number grows and even as the conversation around menopause heightens, the condition and its management still mystifies patients and experts alike.
Founded in 1989, The Menopause Society (formerly the North American Menopause Society) is a leading non-profit organization that dedicates itself to promoting the health and quality of life of all women during midlife and beyond. It does this through programs aiming to improve the understanding of menopause and healthy aging.
With a 2,900-strong, multidisciplinary membership, The Menopause Society is uniquely equipped to provide information regarding perimenopause and menopause that is both accurate and unbiased. This information is disseminated in various formats such as: annual scientific meetings and courses where experts exchange knowledge; its official scientific journal titled ‘Menopause’; its website, and of course; its Menopause Practitioner certification program.
